Category 3 Flashback Pheasant Tail - Copper Tungsten Bead Nymph
Originally conceived and tied by Frank Sawyer, an English River Keeper, the Pheasant Tail Nymph is one of the oldest of modern nymphs. A classic pattern conceived to imitate a variety of aquatic insect larvae. The Category 3 version is tied with a tungsten bead head and wire wraps, to help get the fly down quick in the water column. The addition of U.V dubbing red flashback and legs tied in, make this fly a deadly attractor pattern fly.
The fly can be fished in both river and still water situations, as a dry dropper rig or a double nymph indicator setup.
