For those looking for ultimate backcountry touring freedom, you can't beat the Marker Alpinist 10.

The Marker Alpinist 10 is an ultralight alpine touring binding designed for long days on the skin track. The Alpinist 10 combines a state-of-the-art ISI toe piece and Alpinist heel, providing easy step-in, active length compensation, lateral release in the heel and a DIN/ISO range of 4.0 - 10.0 for a wide range of skiers. The 38mm wide screw pattern maximises power transmission to the edges for superb control when skiing, especially on steep terrain. For steep skin tracks, the Alpinist 10 features three climbing modes of 0º, 5º and 9º. Coming in at staggering 270g/binding (without brake), the Marker Alpinist 10 is the ideal choice for fast accents and pin binding performance.
