Catching Trout Opening Week on the Tumut River | First Drift in the NRS Boundary 100 Fishing Raft

Last season, I spent plenty of time fishing from the NRS Riffle — a brilliant little packraft for remote fishing missions. But this year, we’re stepping things up a notch with the NRS Boundary 100, a one-man oar boat built for big rivers, lakes, and long days on the water.

From the first push-off, this thing impressed me — it’s light, stable, and incredibly easy to move. Being able to stand up, rig, and fish with the boat just hanging around my legs is a total game-changer. Add in heaps of storage, a comfy seat, and the ability to row with one hand while fishing — and you’ve got the ultimate small watercraft for anglers.

We hit the Tumut River for its maiden run, testing the Boundary 100 in real-world conditions. From standing casts to fighting rainbows on the drift, this boat made every part of the day effortless.

It's worth noting that the Boundary comes with a stripping basket included that unfortunately we forgot to bring along so stay tuned for that in future videos.

The boundary can be either strapped to a roof or easily disassembled to fit in a ute tray meaning a designated trailer isn't necessary.

Whether you’re chasing trout in tailwaters or fishing still lakes, the Boundary 100 opens up new possibilities for solo fishing adventures.
