Indi On Fly | Two Day Fly Fishing Drift Adventure On The NRS Boundary 100

Join Pat Ryan on an epic two-day fly fishing journey down the Indi River, right on the border of New South Wales and Victoria. Floating through steep gorges, open farmland, and wild trout country, Pat takes on this remote section of river that eventually flows into the mighty Murray River — a truly unique fly fishing experience.

From the first drift to the last cast, Pat explores the river from his NRS Boundary 100 inflatable raft, hitting runs, riffles, and pools that few anglers ever reach. Expect a mix of rainbow and brown trout, plenty of dry-fly eats, and a few classic near misses to keep him honest.

After what was a tough trout season across much of Australia last year, Pat is hopeful that this trip marks the start of a turnaround — with healthy fish, active hatches, and promising signs that this season is looking up.

Each night, Pat pulls up to free riverside camps, soaking in the isolation, campfire vibes, and the kind of peace only found in the bush. Pat’s Indi River trip captures everything we love about fly fishing — wild places, good fish, and good times.
