The yellow one is the imitation; this is the attention grabber. Hot orange is not subtle and is not meant to be, and it does two jobs at once. It pulls fish up out of fast water when nothing is hatching and there is no reason to look, and it stays trackable for you in glare, in shade and among foam lines where a natural colour disappears. Skate it across the current rather than drifting it dead, and fish it on its own or as the dry in a dropper rig.
