Its designer calls it his go-to pattern, and the name came from a young Australian angler he was guiding on the fly's first outing: the fishing was extraordinary, the fly had no name yet, and he said they should call it a hoover because it sucked up every fish in the stream. This is the black bead version, and black is the stealth setting. Low clear water, bright light, fish that have been cast at before.
