WHAT IS FLEECE?

Fleece is a soft, warm, and lightweight fabric, usually made from synthetic materials like polyester. WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF A FLEECE GARMENT?

Fleece is ideal as a mid-layer between a moisture-wicking base layer and an insulated outer layer, especially for winter activities or snowy conditions. IS FLEECE CLOTHING WATERPROOF AND WINDPROOF?

Fleece is inherently resistant to absorbing moisture due to its synthetic fibers but is not naturally waterproof. Some fleece garments are treated with water-repellent finishes or feature additional layers for enhanced water resistance. For windproofing, softshell fleece jackets often include wind-blocking membranes, making them more suitable for blustery conditions.
