The Rio Premier Technical Trout Floating Fly Line is crafted for precise, delicate presentations to selective trout at range. Ideal for small dry flies, small nymphs and dry dropper rigs, it supports technical casts where finesse and accuracy matter most.

A long, fine front taper delivers light turnover and refined presentations, while the extended head and back taper enhance loop control when carrying longer lengths of line. The weight distribution is specifically designed to turn over long leaders, helping target technical feeders with greater precision.

Built with RIO’s SlickCast coating, this line offers an exceptionally slick, durable finish with very low friction. MaxFloat Tip Technology features a proprietary tip coating formula that floats more than twice as high as regular line tips without increasing diameter. Available in Weight Forward and Double Taper options, and constructed with a supple core and coldwater coating, the Rio Premier Technical Trout Floating Fly Line is suited to demanding trout fishing scenarios.
