Tubbs started crafting snowshoes in 1906, from fine white ash wood in Norway - however now, they specialise in both traditional aluminium and modern composite snowshoes. 

Tubbs were the first company to engineer women’s specific snowshoes in 1998 - after recognising the diverse needs of men & women, taking into account the stride length, stance width and other physiological differences.
