Northwest River Supplies began in 1972 when Bill Parks, river runner and idealistic business professor, launched a startup to prove that the principles he taught in the classroom could work in the real world.

From humble beginnings of $2000 worth of boating gear sold from his garage, NRS has developed a legacy of providing professional-grade, purpose driven equipment for water related sports. NRS are dedicated to creating, developing & manufacturing high quality kayaking gear, rafting supplies & boating equipment. At Tom's Outdoors, we carry a range of NRS products for white water kayaking and recreational kayaking.
