The Zulu has no natural to match and has never needed one. Palmered hackle the length of a black body, a silver rib and a red tail add up to something that pushes water and flickers when it is pulled, which is what a trout notices in a chop. Fish it fast and high through the wave rather than letting it sink, and give it a lift at the end of the retrieve. It has been catching fish long enough that nobody agrees where it came from.
