Mongrels are half breeds, bits of everything; this fly takes all the best bits of a few legendary flies and puts them together. Slim by articulated standards and with a relatively hidden heavy-weight head it can be fished on a floating line effectively as well as sinking lines. A great even swimming action and straight up and down profile make this a great swinging as well as stripping fly. Go out and feed it to some big dogs in the river.
