The one for weed and turtle grass

Colour matters more on crab flies than most patterns, because a crab that does not match the bottom it is scuttling over looks wrong immediately. Olive is the option for weed beds, turtle grass and the darker, mixed bottom you find inside the reef and along estuary edges. Fish it the same way as the rest: get it well ahead of the fish, let it sink, and give it small, deliberate movements rather than long strips. Crabs do not sprint, they hop and hide.
