Pearl throws light the way scales do

Pearl material does something flat white cannot: it refracts, so the fly changes tone as it turns and throws off the same broken flashes a real fish gives when it rolls. That is often what pulls a predator in from distance. Use it when the water carries a little colour, when the light is flat, or any time you want the fly found rather than inspected. Same slim body and easy casting as the green, just a good deal louder in the water.
