Most small fish that school in Australian estuaries and along the beaches are some version of green-backed and silver-sided, and this puts that in front of a predator in a slim, streamlined shape that casts easily. It is the natural of the two: the one to use in clear water and when fish are feeding on an identifiable school rather than hunting randomly. Australian salmon off the beach are the obvious target, along with flathead, whiting and bream in the estuaries.
