Developed by the guide team at Alphonse Fishing Company in the Seychelles to solve triggerfish and permit, this one is built around braided mesh tubing rather than yarn or fur, which is what lets it sink fast and hold a crab's flat profile. Tan is the sand-flat colour and the one to start with over bare bottom. Cast well ahead of a feeding fish, let it drop, and move it only enough to look alive. Anything that eats crabs will eat it, which in Australia means golden trevally, permit, bream and flathead.
