A real midge pupa is very slim, and most ways of adding weight to a fly make it fatter. A small tungsten nugget solves that: it puts the mass at the head and leaves the body as thin as it should be, so the fly still looks right while getting down through the water column properly. Use it as the point fly of a buzzer team, or on its own under an indicator when fish are holding deeper than the others will reach.
