A flash of pink where the fish looks first

The hot spot sits at the head, right at the point a trout focuses as the fly comes past, and pink is about as loud as a hot spot gets. That makes this the searching jig for high, coloured water after rain, and for stocked rainbows, which show a well-known weakness for pink. It is not a subtle fly and it is not meant to be. Run it on the point where the weight does the work, with something natural on the dropper above so the fish has a choice.
