Drift it, swing it, drag it or bomb it

Some nymphs only work one way. This is not one of them, and that is the argument for carrying it: the same fly can be dead drifted under an indicator, swung down and across at the end of a cast, dragged slowly along the bottom or bombed into the deepest part of a run on a heavy bead. The subtle hackle and dubbing give it enough of an alive profile to pass for most things that swim, crawl or case up.
