A dry ant is a summer classic, but the ones a trout actually eats most of are the drowned ones drifting a foot down. That is what this is: the sunk version, weighted to get below the film and carrying enough UV to be found there. Fish it dead drift through the same water you would work a dry ant, along tree-lined banks and under overhanging scrub, on hot afternoons when there is a breeze putting terrestrials on the water.
