Bright roe for the front end of the run

When fish first push up and the roe washing down is fresh, bright orange is what they are keyed on, and tangerine sits squarely in that window. Drift it under an indicator through the tail of a spawning riffle, or hang it below a heavier nymph so it swings just off the gravel. Dawn and dusk are the prime hours through the Eucumbene run, when fish hold hardest behind the redds. Tied small so it reads as a single loose egg rather than a cluster, which is usually what a wary fish will commit to.
