The rust body covers the darker sedges and the spinners that follow them, but the reason to carry this one is the bright orange post. In broken water, in shade under a bank, or in the last half hour of light when everything on the surface turns to glare, it is the difference between watching your fly and guessing. The emerger silhouette does the fishing; the post just lets you keep track of it. Buoyant enough to hang a small tungsten nymph underneath without going under.
