The Zonker family has been pulling fish since Dan Byford tied the first one in Colorado in the mid-1970s, and the reason has not changed: a strip of rabbit fur pulses and breathes on the pause in a way no synthetic manages. This tan version reads as a small baitfish or a yabby over sand and weed, which makes it a natural for the Snowy Mountains impoundments. Fish it on an intermediate or sink tip with a slow figure-of-eight and long pauses, and expect the take as it drops. Barbless, so it slides straight out.
