The tan dressing puts this one in baitfish colours rather than cod colours, which is why it belongs in a tropical saltwater box: giant trevally, queenfish and the reef predators that hunt schooling bait over sand and coral. The brushed profile holds its shape at speed, so it can be stripped hard and fast without collapsing, which is how those fish want it moving. Tied on a Gamakatsu SL12 with the wire and gape to survive the take.
