The fly that taught bonefish flies to ride point up

Charlie Smith tied the first one on Andros in 1977 and Bob Nauheim gave it the name, and it changed flats fishing: it was the first bonefish fly to use bead chain eyes so it rode hook point up over sand and coral. It imitates the small glass minnows bonefish hunt on the flats. Fish it in short strips with a good pause so the fly ticks the bottom and puffs sand, which is the trigger. Just as effective closer to home on bream and flathead.
