Clark Pierce tied the first of these in 2013 and the design solved the usual problem with big streamers, which is that they turn into a wet sponge after ten casts. This one sheds water on the backcast and still throws a serious profile once it lands. The fuzzy head pushes water so fish find it before they see it, and it stands up to being eaten repeatedly. Black is the all-conditions choice. Fish it on a sinking line with hard strips and long pauses, and expect the eat on the pause.
