Enough float to carry a beadhead

The problem with a dry-dropper rig is that most dry flies cannot carry a weighted nymph without being dragged under. This one can. It is bushy, heavily hackled and thoroughly buoyant, so it will hold a beadhead below it and still ride high through the sort of fast broken water where you want to fish that rig. Yellow reads as a grasshopper or an adult stonefly, which makes it a searching pattern for warm afternoons rather than a match for anything specific.
