When an ant fall is on, trout get infuriating, and never more so than on a glassed-out high country lake where they are sipping steadily and refusing everything. That is the situation this is built for: a slim profile so it does not look like too much, on enough float to keep sitting up while you wait out a long take. It also fishes well in a chop, and on the slower Monaro water of an evening.
