The name is the instruction. This is a small, bright, high-UV fly meant to be trailed behind something bigger, where it works as the second fly on the cast rather than the one doing the attracting. A larger pattern brings a fish up to look, and this gives it something small and unmissable to actually eat. It came out of clear water fisheries where fussy fish were the problem it was built to solve.
