Chosen for your eyes, not theirs

This one is chosen for your eyes rather than the fish's. In a dry-dropper rig the dry fly is also your indicator, and if you cannot see it you will not know the nymph has been taken, which is a problem in glare, in shade and among foam. Hot orange solves it. The fish still eat it, but the reason to pick this colour over the other three is that you can track it.
