Big water, bigger adventures — the Forager is built to haul it all

Designed as the ultimate multi-purpose expedition vessel, the Alpacka Raft Forager is the largest and most heavy duty model in the Alpacka lineup. Built for everything from family river trips to backcountry big game hunting, this self bailing packraft carries massive payloads while remaining light enough to backpack. Whether you're hauling moose in the Alaskan wilderness or drifting downstream with kids and dogs, the Forager's versatile seating and generous capacity deliver confidence and comfort on the water.

BUILD CONFIGURATIONS

Self Bailer

The Forager is only available in a self-bailing configuration. Water drains quickly through the floor, making it suitable for whitewater and splashy lightwater trips where staying dry is less critical than staying afloat.

Solo Seating

The solo seating configuration includes a lace-in solo seat with an inflatable backrest. Ideal for one adult paddler with ample space for gear, pets or children. This setup provides a stable, controlled position for navigating a variety of water conditions.

Tandem Seating

The tandem configuration includes the Forager platform seat for the front passenger, allowing two adult paddlers to navigate together. Best suited for fishing, lightwater, or whitewater adventures where teamwork and balance are key. The solo seat can be deflated and left in place while using the platform seat.

Cargo Fly Zipper

Standard on the Forager, the Cargo Fly internal storage system includes an airtight zipper in the stern for storing gear inside the tubes. This improves load balance and keeps gear dry. The Forager also has internal clips compatible with XL Internal Dry Bags or standard roll-top and zippered dry bags (sold separately).

HOW DOES IT COMPARE?

Forager vs. Rendezvous

The Forager offers greater versatility for families, hunting, and whitewater, while the Rendezvous excels in comfort for flatwater fishing trips with two adults.

Forager vs. Ranger

The Forager is a larger, higher-capacity version of the Ranger, ideal for carrying more gear, passengers or big game. The Ranger is lighter and better suited to smaller paddlers or backpack-focused expeditions.
