The Smith Summit MIPS Snow Helmet is built for backcountry touring and ski mountaineering, balancing a lightweight design with advanced protection. A hybrid shell construction pairs durability with reduced weight, while zonal Koroyd coverage and MIPS technology help absorb impact energy in demanding alpine conditions. The Smith Flexible Fit System with BOA allows precise, micro adjustable comfort and can collapse for easy pack storage. Designed to integrate seamlessly with Smith goggles, the AirEvac ventilation system and 33 fixed vents promote consistent airflow and help maintain clear vision. With features like headlamp strap routing and compatibility with beanies or caps, the Summit is ready for long ascents and exposed descents.
Sizing Overview
Fit should not be compromised for any other considerations. Head shape and sizing vary from customer to customer. Adjustable helmets allow customers to fine-tune the fit for optimal protection and performance.
HOW TO ADJUST THE FIT
1. Adjust the fit system at the rear of the helmet for a snug, secure fit. Some helmets also include a vertical tuning feature that allows you to adjust the fore/aft tilt for optimal positioning on your head.
2. Adjust the straps so that they sit just below the earlobes.
3. Adjust the buckle so that it rests against the back of the jaw/throat.
4. Adjust the interior pads if needed.
5. Check the fit to make sure the helmet is comfortable and secure. It should not roll forward or back or be able to slide off.
Wrap a measuring tape around your head, keeping the tape level from front to back. Note the measurement and reference the size variants.
