Crunchers were built for stillwater competition, and they earn their keep when a buzzer hatch is on and fish are cruising just under the surface taking pupae. The slim pheasant tail body gives the right profile and the hackle provides just enough disturbance on the top or middle dropper. Orange adds a point of contrast that carries on the Snowy Mountains impoundments without overdoing it. Slow figure-of-eight, and expect the take to feel like the line has caught weed.
