Black marabou gives the movement and the gold does the finding, which is a combination that comes into its own as the light drops and fish start moving up out of deeper water. Swing it across and down and let it hang at the end of the drift, or fish it as the point fly of a two-fly rig along a lake bank. The flash is measured rather than overdone, so it still works on the days when everything brighter is being refused.
