Canberra's Highest Mountain in the Snow! | Mount Bimberi Multi Day Snowshoe Hike

Chris heads over to the ACT to take advantage of some early snow atop of Canberra’s highest mountain peak, Mt Bimberi. Swapping the gravel bike for snowshoes, Chris digs deep with some big climbs, icy temperatures and a snowy off-track scramble to the summit. Day one starts at Orroral Tracking Station and partly follows the Australian Alps Walking Trail to a frosty Cotter Flat. Day two follows fire trails to Namadgi National Park’s Murrays Gap, where the snow cover starts to thicken. A hard fought snow shoe ascent is rewarded with stunning panoramic views of Brindabella, Namadgi, Tidbinbilla and stretching all the way to Kosciuszko’s Main Range.
