Straggle fritz has long fibres that flare and collapse with every pull, which gives this version far more life at rest than a plain dubbed body. The added dark hackle sets that against a stronger outline, so the fly reads as bulkier and buggier in coloured water or under cloud. Work it with long pauses and let the material do the work between pulls. A good choice when fish are following the plain version without committing.
