Orange is a colour trout in this country eat with real conviction, and this is about the brightest thing you can put on the water. The tapered carrot shape pushes a small wake when you pull it, which is what wakes fish up on grey windy days when nothing is showing, and the body floats well enough that one good dose of floatant in the morning usually lasts the day. It came to Australia with the English international John Horsey and has been a high country lake staple through summer ever since.
