Half grub, half nymph, half caddis

Half grub, half nymph, half caddis, and it works because it does not commit to any of them. The slim profile is the point: it gets deep quickly without the bulk that slows a fly down. Olive is the natural end of the three and matches the green grubs and caddis larvae that are in nearly every river. Fish it under a dry, or on the top dropper of a short line rig, and lift it at the end of the drift.
