Size Guide - Osprey Kids Packs - 2026

Osprey Kid's Pack Size Guide

One Size, Built To Grow

Osprey's kids packs come in a single size with an adjustable harness - around 10cm (4") of torso adjustment plus an extendable Fit-on-the-Fly hipbelt. The pack is designed to be let out as your child grows, so it should last several seasons rather than one.

Choose the pack whose torso range covers your child's current measurement. Buying a size up does not work with packs the way it does with clothing - a pack that is too long will sit on the hips wrong and the weight will end up on their shoulders.

Torso Length/Sizing

To determine your child's torso measurement, follow these simple steps.

1. Find iliac crest (Top of hip bone)

2. On the back of the neck find C7 vertebra - Have them touch their chin to their chest and feel for the large protruding bone at the base of the neck

3. Measure from C7 vertebra to the iliac crest to determine their torso length
