The Sea to Summit Sentinel XP3 gives three people a freestanding basecamp that holds together when the weather does not. A 40D polycarbonate coated floor rated to 25,000 mm handles saturated ground, the Ultra-Sil LS rainfly stays taut instead of sagging once wet, and self equalising guylines with an aerodynamic profile keep it stable in winds above 80 km/h. DAC poles on Hex Hub architecture and glove friendly Hold Fast clips get it up quickly, and the fly first sequence keeps the inner protected through setup and takedown. With 3.7 m² of floor, steep walls and two vestibules totalling 2.02 m², there is room to sit out a long front without living on top of each other, and cross flow AirLift vents work to hold condensation down. Rated 3+ season, it is a wet weather backcountry shelter, not a four season mountaineering tent.
