The Sea to Summit Sentinel XP2 is a freestanding two person tent made for wet, exposed country where the weather has a vote. Its 40D polycarbonate coated floor is rated to 25,000 mm, the Ultra-Sil LS rainfly sheds water rather than soaking it up, and self equalising guylines paired with an aerodynamic shape keep the structure settled in winds above 80 km/h. DAC poles on Hex Hub architecture and colour coded Hold Fast clips make the pitch fast in poor conditions, while fly first setup keeps the inner dry from the first peg to the last. Steep walls and 2.9 m² of floor make a long wet afternoon liveable for two, twin vestibules take the packs and boots, and cross flow AirLift vents work to keep condensation down. Rated 3+ season, it is built for wet weather backcountry use rather than deep winter mountaineering.
