Australian bass, golden perch, bream and flathead all take it, which makes it a useful thing to have in the box on a trip where trout are not the target or not cooperating. Black gives the strongest outline for stained water and structure. Fish it on the point of a team and strip fast on a sinking line, or work it into snags on a floater.
