Introducing the Rendezvous, the pinnacle of comfort and innovation for tandem paddling adventures. Crafted with a revolutionary design, this two-person vessel redefines traditional canoeing by replacing seats with an integrated central thwart. This innovative feature not only enhances comfort but also sheds unnecessary weight and reduces bulk making it a breeze to pack for your next excursion.
On the water, the Rendezvous seamlessly accommodates two paddlers, reminiscent of the classic canoe experience. Positioned in tandem, with the rear paddler seated on the stern and the front paddler perched comfortably on the thwart, this vessel glides effortlessly across flatwater lakes and rivers. But what sets the Rendezvous apart is its versatility. The sturdy central thwart not only reinforces the hull, providing stability and control, but also facilitates standing for short periods, allowing paddlers to cast lines or scout surroundings with ease. It's the ultimate fishing companion, offering unparalleled maneuverability and convenience for angling enthusiasts.
The Rendezvous reigns supreme as the ultimate fishing vessel for two. Whether you're fly fishing in serene lakes or tranquil rivers, the Rendezvous provides a comfortable and spacious setup for two anglers. Equipped with ample storage space for fishing gear and accessories, the Rendezvous ensures that every fishing expedition is met with convenience, comfort, and unmatched performance.
The Rendezvous has an open configuration that integrates a central thwart in place seat. It is best paddled with a canoe style paddle with the rear paddler sitting on the stern and the front sitting on the center thwart seat.
Our innovative Cargo Fly internal storage system comes standard on the Rendezvous. The Cargo Fly features an airtight zipper installed in the stern of the boat to allow you to store your gear inside the tubes. The system provides drier and more secure gear storage and improved paddling performance due to a lower center of gravity.
Internal Dry Bags may be purchased separately and are designed to work with the Cargo Fly system. The bags slip inside the Cargo Fly zipper and can be organized along the inside of the tubes to balance the load. The XL Internal Dry Bags are sized to fit with the Rendezvous hull size, but the Roll-Top and Zippered Dry Bags will work as well. We recommend 1-2 sets of bags for the Rendezvous.
*Weight includes all components except inflation bag, repair kit, and internal dry bags.
**Packed size is a reference measurement based on folding each lengthwise edge of the boat to the center and rolling from the bow. There are many other methods of rolling and folding the boats that will result in a different packed size that may be more or less efficient for packing depending on the situation.
***Max Capacity is the maximum total weight (paddlers and cargo) that the boat can reasonably carry in flatwater under ideal conditions. Actual capacity for any given trip will vary widely based on the paddler’s skill and water conditions. Please review our weight carrying capacity guide for further details.
The Rendezvous and Forager are both highly capable tandem packrafts, but they're designed for very different adventures. The Rendezvous is purpose-built for flatwater paddling, offering a comfortable canoe-style layout that's ideal for relaxed days on lakes, rivers, and sheltered waterways. Whether you're exploring, fishing, or enjoying a leisurely paddle with a partner, the Rendezvous provides a stable, efficient platform designed with comfort for two adults in mind. Its enclosed floor is optimized for calm water, delivering a drier and more comfortable paddling experience on flatwater.
The Forager, by contrast, is built for versatility and carrying capacity. Designed to haul heavy loads, it's the ideal choice for hunting, expedition trips, or family adventures where you need room for extra gear, children, or even dogs. Its self-bailing floor is better suited to moving water, making it a more capable option for lightwater and whitewater conditions where quick drainage is essential. While it may not offer the same flatwater comfort as the Rendezvous, the Forager's generous capacity and all-terrain capability make it the go-to choice for paddlers who need maximum versatility and adventure-ready performance.
