The Tom’s Philosophy: A Life Outdoors

In September six years ago, Chris and Gemma were preparing for their biggest pursuit yet, a venture bigger than just selling outdoor gear. A business fed by a fundamental attraction to the outdoors and a deep connection to Tumut and the surrounding snowy valleys.

Chris and Gemma have and continue to live a life outdoors. Innately influenced by their great grandfathers and keen outdoorsman, Tom and Tom. Hence, the name Tom’s Outdoors, a name both sentimental and unique. There is a desire for Tom’s Outdoors to be a catalyst for outdoor activities in the region and inspire people to engage in a remarkable part of Australia. 

The journey of Tom’s Outdoors has not by any means been easy. But, the rewards of getting to connect with the outdoors and building a community with those like-minded far outweighs the challenging times.
