LifeStraw | All
LifeStraw grew out of public health work, not a gear catalogue. In the 1990s its parent company, Vestergaard, worked with The Carter Center on a simple filter to stop Guinea worm, and that work led to the original LifeStraw personal filter in 2005. The same technology now goes into straws, filter bottles and larger systems that remove bacteria and parasites from creeks, lakes and tank water, with no chemicals or batteries. For every LifeStraw product sold, a school child in need gets safe drinking water for a full school year through the brand's Give Back program.
