It features a waterproof Pertex outer, 800 fill ethically sourced hydrophobic down (approx. 170 grams) and YKK AquaGuard Zips. The fit of the Rab Valiance allows for layers to be worn underneath without too much bulk. It features a dropped hem in the back for extra warmth without restricting mobility in the front. For a customised fit, the hem, wrist cuffs and hood is adjustable. The hood is also fully insulated and helmet compatible so it's suitable for a range of outdoor activities. The Valiance jacket packs down nicely into a waterproof stuff sack so it can be thrown into your pack with ease.
Rab Microlight Alpine Down Jacket
The Microlight Alpine Down Jacket from Rab is available in both Men's and Women's styles. This jacket finds the balance between weight, warmth and packability. It's also windproof and breathable so it's suitable as an outer layer on dry yet cold days or layered under a waterproof when in wet conditions. The outer construction is Pertex Quantum and the jacket is filled with 750 fill power recycled hydrophobic down.
This jacket is warm without compromising weight, all thanks to Rab's clever combination of zoned micro and nano baffles which increases warmth without adding bulk. It has a slim fit while still allowing room for base layers. The hem cuffs are elasticated and the hem is adjustable to keep warmth in. The hood has a wire brim so it can be adjusted to improve visibility or protection. It also comes with a stuff sack for ease of packing.

The fit can be personalised by using the adjustable drawcords on the waist and hem. The cuffs are also adjustable, glove friendly and have knuckle protection to stop water from coming in.
