The Ultimate in Articulation From Kelly Galloup
The Dungeon gets eaten. If you're new to throwing big articulated flies at trout or if you're a seasoned veteran, you want Dungeons in your box. The irresistible size, profile and most importantly action of these monster flies draws big trout out of their hiding places. This pattern has probably caught more big-streamer trout than any other since its inception.
It's best to fish these streamers on a short section of heavy tippet (4ft of 15lb-20lb is perfect) and a sinking line or sink tip. Slap them against banks and rip them back to a drift boat, work them upstream and across the river as you walk your way up or swing them across a run; mix it up and remember, it's your job to make it look edible.
