Used for splitting all types of wood, whether it's for the campfire, or to keep the family home warm in the winter, the Gransfors Bruk Long Handled Splitting Axe is designed to split wood effortlessly and quickly.
The blade is forged and ground to a concave with a thin blade at the bit, giving it a sharp cutting edge that breaks the fibres apart. The broader part of the head then pushes the wood apart creating an even split and nice uniform blocks of wood for your fire.
The handle comes in two lengths, a shorter and longer version. Both handles feature circular grooves towards the end for extra grip, a protective steel collar below the axe head and comes with a tanned leather sheath.
