The difference? Air sprung cells make up the core technology of the sleep mat range. Unlike the typical baffled mat construction that a lot of mats use, the Ether Light XT Extreme Insulated Sleeping Mat uses air-sprung cells that create larger pockets of air, which operates similar to a pocket spring mattress. Each air-sprung cell deforms independently and allows the mat to conform to your body, providing ultimate support and comfort by evenly dispersing pressure across the mat's surface.  

Offering more stability than thinner mattresses, its lightweight and the thickest full-size air-sprung cell mat of the Sea to Summit range. Designed for four seasons of comfort and insulated for warmth and a better nights sleep. The mat is only 10cm thick and has an incredibly low weight, however, it has been refined for a superior night's sleep. Dual-density layers of THERMOLITE insulation fill the air-sprung cells to boost warmth and prevent convective heat transfer whilst maintaining its lightweight and packability.   

The mat is also fitted with a multifunctional valve for easy inflation and deflation. Sea to Summit knows just how frustrating and time-consuming inflating and deflating a mattress can be, so they’ve developed their own patent-pending multi-function valve with an integrated inflate port with a one-way valve to prevent air loss before you seal the valve. A rapid air dump deflate port and a fine tune button to adjust the air level for optimum comfort.    

Offering an exceptional comfort-to-weight ratio, it’s perfect for women who are naturally more intuitively side sleepers because the air pockets allow for movement. The extra height of the mat lets the hips sink deeper into it without touching the ground. The women-specific mats are also wider from the hip to the knee and narrower at the shoulder, and an additional thicker THERMOLITE layer and a Delta Core profile have been added to create a warmer core to ensure a more regulated body temperature.
